The Custer County Veterans Trust Fund (VTF) helps local veterans and their families through short-term, emergency assistance — including housing and utilities, transportation, food and fuel, and other urgent needs. If you need help, you can apply online, and your information is handled with care.

Privacy of Veterans Trust Fund (VTF) Applications

All information submitted as part of a Veterans Trust Fund assistance request is treated as confidential. Applicant names and personal details are never shared with the general Post membership.

Access to identifying information is limited to:

The Quartermaster/VTF Administrator, for processing and reporting
The Colorado Division of Veterans & Military Affairs (DMVA), when required for grant audit purposes
The VFW approval panel, only for requests exceeding $2,000, where a reference ID is used in place of the applicant’s name whenever possible

Any other reporting or internal discussion of VTF activity refers to applicants by reference ID rather than by name.
